PeaceTalk filters messages.
It cannot make an unsafe person safe.

High conflict and abuse are not the same thing. If contact comes with violence, threats, stalking, or control — against you or your family — no filter is the answer, and no app is. In Germany, the Hilfetelefon „Gewalt gegen Frauen“ listens around the clock: 116 016. For men: 0800 123 9900. Outside Germany, the NO MORE Global Directory lists support services in over 200 countries: nomoredirectory.org. A lawyer or a Beratungsstelle can help decide what contact should exist at all — before any tool shapes it.

For contact that must continue — by court order or your own judgment — PeaceTalk holds one line: the other person is openly told how the channel works, they see what they sent and what you send back, and nothing more. When you read, and how you’ve set things up, is never reported to them.

What the other person sees — and what they never see

A safety plan needs specifics, not reassurance. These are the specifics.

• That the channel exists, and how it works — PeaceTalk says so openly, in the very first message.
• Their own message — and, when one is held, the calm version that reached you.
• A topic boundary, at the moment they run into one you’ve set — never who set it up or why.
• What you send back.

• Whether you’ve read a message — or when.
• Your availability, your settings, or anything you’ve configured.
• Your email address. The channel runs through a PeaceTalk address — in both directions.
• Anything about your account.

What is kept

Every original stays preserved, word for word, and you can open it any time. Filtering changes what reaches you in the moment — never what is on record.

PeaceTalk changes how things reach you. It does not change who is writing them.
